The elite of a social circle.

[News about me: got 16th position, AAS (archery assoc. singapore) championships, standard class.... didn't go for knockouts so missed the chance to vie for first position. Didn't get FITA badge... was 94 points short :*( ]

The elite of a social circle. I don't mean elite as in the best.. I mean elite as in those who are more blessed with social talents (unlike people like me, who are more blessed in academic and perhaps physical talents in certain sports, but severely lacking in social talents.)

At first, they look like nice, friendly people. These are the warmest people initially who spark conversations easily and casually.

Then at first while they are still not recognised in the social circle, they are the humble, the meek, and the lowly. Then all of a sudden, when they spring to popularity, you realise you were but their crutch, their stepping stone.

All of a sudden, they isolate you. They take even your position in that social circle. When in the past, you and that certain person were good friends and equally unrecognised in the social circle, now suddenly he's recognised, and he steals all the attention away from even you. Now suddenly, he will treat you like dirt.

i seriously hate these people. I mean, it isn't a case of "this social circle is not big enough for the two of us *guitar strums*...... one of us *guitar strums*..... must die........." why do they have to take everything away from you? All of a sudden it seems that you have a few veterans in the circle to speak to, along with peers like him. Suddenly the veterans only talk to him and you're isolated, because you have nobody to talk to.

I hate people (in a social circle) who leave others (in that same social circle) out of the picture. Like, we yearn to be involved, we yearn to be an active part of that 'family' or social unit of society... why do these social elite have to deprive us of this? It's not as if they'll lose anything by granting us a share of that attention....
